Because Moms Need Playgroups, too!
There's an old saying: if Mom's not happy, no one's happy. Yet if you're like most moms today, you're so busy taking care of the needs of your family that you tend to neglect making time to pursue your own interests and friendships. Mothers & More offers moms opportunities to take time for you, to focus on your own interests and happiness. Forming friendships with other moms, like you, will help to remind you that you're not alone in your motherhood journey. And knowing this will help make you a better, happier mom!
Mothers & More of DeKalb County is a group of local moms who get together to connect with other moms locally and globally for friendship, support, encouragement and fun! We're always looking to meet new friends and welcome moms interested in learning more about our group to any of our events. Moms from the following towns are invited to join us at an upcoming event :
- DeKalb
- Cortland
- Genoa
- Kirkland
- Malta
- Maple Park
- Sycamore
- or other nearby communities
Our moms come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Whether you're new to the area or a native, a first-time mom who's recently left the paid workforce or a mom struggling to achieve a better balance between the demands of paid work and family care, our focus is on creating a place for local moms to feel a part of a larger community of women who give and receive support throughout their parenting years. And we emphasize the importance of taking time out for you!
Our members meet monthly for evening program nights to discuss topics of interest. In addition to monthly evening meetings, our group also offers moms times out, play groups, and other family outings and activities for our members and their kids.
If you're a mom living in DeKalb County, and are looking to meet other moms in similar life stages, we invite you to come check out our group. Guests are welcome to join us at up to 2 activities, to learn more about our group. After that, we hope you'll make a commitment to join.
