Our History

Mothers & More started in 1987 as a non-profit membership community called FEMALE (Formerly Employed Mothers at Loose Ends). In 2000 the name changed to Mothers & More, which is a truer reflection of our members.

Through the years we have been featured prominently in books, magazines and media. Specifically in the past 10 years we have been nationally recognized in articles or interviews by CBS News, NPR, CNN, BBC Worldwide, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

We have always supported all work that mothers do, in or out of the home and emphasized the value of mothers work and societal impact as well as a sense of community for our members.
