Lady Mama: Loving Your Inner Monster

Winter is the perfect time to focus on reconnecting and recharging. Reconnecting and recharging yourself, reconnecting members with each other, and reconnecting to your chapter. After the hectic start of school in the fall and the rush of the holiday season, chances are you haven’t had much time to focus on yourself or your relationships in Mothers & More. Let’s take the time during our 2012 Re–Connect Activites to “tame the monster” that tells us Motherhood has to look, feel, and be a certain way. As mothers, let’s remind ourselves that we can be “Born this way” however we want to!

Our February 2012 FORUM celebrates romance in its many guises, and offers our heartfelt thanks to our many generous donors. We cherish the romantic bliss of supportive partners, flexible workplaces, and of finding brief moments of balance in our lives. Stephanie Harbour, President and Owner of Mom Corps NYC reveals in “Working Mothers: Paving the Way of the Workforce,” how working mothers have shaped flexible workplaces, and the four ways working mothers add unique value in the paid workplace. In Classic FORUM Chris Fletcher marvels when forces align to create a “Perfect Day” and Julie Somogyi finds romance in sharing the tough job of parenthood when Superman pajamas strike back in “It’s Always Something.”
