Who are we?
We are a group of moms, just like you!
We range in age from 24-over 50! We have newborns, toddlers, grade schoolers, college students--even grandkids! We all have changed our lives since having kids. Some of us still work full-time, part time, or at home--some of us don't. Some of us wish we did get to go to an office everyday where someone else is there to clean up!
We live all over St. Joseph County--(some even outside of it..)--South Bend, Granger, Lakeville, LaPaz, even Edwardsburg and Elkhart. (We do have an Elkhart chapter as well however.)
Some of us joined for our kids. Some of us joined for us. Either way we are all happier because of the friendships we have made, our children have made and even our husbands have made because of this group.
Many of us our new to the area. Some of us grew up here. Either way we are all learning from each other about the best places to play, eat and shop for our kids because of the other smart mommies in this group.
Because Moms need playgroups too...
Our mission statement-- Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers’ needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do.
Preschool Guide Book NOW AVAILABLE!!!!
Bridges, The Montessori Academy, Growing Kids, Early Childhood Development at Clay Methodist Church and La Petite are just a few of the local schools that are highlighted in this extremely helpful and informative guidebook.
The guidebook lists all schools, their philosophies, enrollment, costs, activities etc. The guidebooks are now available at EXPLORATIONS Toy Store in Heritage Square. Please call Kelli L. 243-3391 for more information or to be included in next year's guidebook.
Meetings
We meet the 2nd Monday and the 4th Tuesday of each month at Martin's Supermarket on the corner of South Bend Avenue and Ironwood Drive in South Bend. Meetings are from 6:45-8:30pm.
We usually go out for drinks afterwards as well!
Even if you can't make the meeting time join us for drinks and appetizers if you would like--we will be at Applebee's on Main Street in Granger after the Monday meetings and Hacienda on Grape Road after the Tuesday meetings.
